CARROT JUICE

Homemade carrot juice is healthy, delicious, extremely nutritious and is great to have with breakfast. Health drink which boosts the immunity and has many other benefits too.

Ingredients:

· Carrots – 1 kg · Mint Leaves – 3-4 tbsp · Ginger – 2 inches · Lemon Juice – ½ lemon · Black salt – ¼ tsp · Salt · Sugar – 2-3 tsp (optional) · Chilled water – 1-1 ½ cups · Ice cubes (optional)

Method:


· Wash and peel the outer skin of the carrots and ginger. · Roughly chop the carrots and ginger. · You can directly add these pieces in your juicer. · Use a mortar and pestle to roughly crush the mint leaves. · Add the crushed mint leaves, lemon juice, black salt, salt and sugar to enhance the taste of the juice. · Chilled water if you want to increase the quantity. (optional)

*** If you do not have a juicer, you can directly add these pieces to the mixer jar with chilled water. Use a strainer to strain the juice. Repeat this step 2-3 times till you can extract the juice. Later add the other ingredients to make it taste more yum.
