Kodubale is a traditional snack from Karnataka which is made from rice flour and few other flours along with some coconut and spices. A very addictive tea time snack. Loved by all age groups
It is made in the form of a circle, but I have shaped it as a drop. Recipe may vary slightly across households.

Ingredients:
· Rice atta (flour) – 3 cups
· All-purpose flour (Maida) – 2 cups
· Fine Rava – ½ cup
· Butter (Unsalted) – 1 cup
· Jeera – 2 tsp
· Sesame seeds – 2 tsp
· Desiccated coconut – 2 tbsp
· Salt
· Water
· Oil for frying
Method:
· In a mixing bowl take rice flour, maida and rava, also add jeera, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut and salt. Combine well.
· Now heat the butter and pour it on the mixture.
· Rub the butter nicely to the flour mixture with your hands.
· Start adding luke warm to prepare a dough.
· Make a smooth and soft dough, allow it to rest for 15-20 mins.
· Take a small ball, using your palm shape it length wise on a flat surface and then join both ends.
· Make a plateful and keep. Once done turn on the gas and start heating the oil.
· Add these kodbale’s to the oil when it is very hot and set the flame on medium to low immediately.
· Fry these kodbale’s on a medium to low flame in batches. You can add 15-18 kodbole’s at one time.
· Fry till they turn golden brown and crisp, once done drain off on to a kitchen paper to remove the excess oil.
· Store this in an airtight container for 10-15 days once its cooled completely.
*** Cups in my recipe refers to any measuring glass or Vati you have at home.
