Masala milk or Masala Doodh is a traditional Indian drink that is sweetened and enriched with powdered nuts and flavored with cardamom and saffron. This flavorful drink is made on Sharad/ Kojagiri Purnima in Maharashtra and can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients: · Milk – ½ ltr · Almonds – 7-8 · Pistachios – 8-10 · Cashew nuts - 7-8 · Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp · Nutmeg/Jaiphal powder – pinch · Few Saffron strands · Sugar as per your preference

Method: · Take all the nuts together – Almonds, pistachios & cashew nuts. Soak it in hot water for half an hour. Peel the skin of almonds and pistachios. Take a mixer jar add the nuts and little milk. Grind it. Don't make it very fine, let it be little chunky.

· Boil the milk and add sugar, keep stirring. Now add the paste, cardamom powder & nutmeg powder. Add the saffron strands. · Let the milk boil for 3-4 minutes. · Masala Milk is ready to be served hot or chilled.
