Rava Idli

Today's breakfast frame is a very healthy and delicious rava idli, served with corinader coconut chutney and idli podi. Celebrating patriotic week with food art.
Ingredients:
· Rava (semolina) - 1 cup
· Curd – ¾ cup
· Salt to taste
· Water
For tempering
· Oil - 1 tbsp
· Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
· Urad dal - 1 tsp
· Green chillies 1-2 nos. (chopped)
· Curry leaves
· Cashew nuts – 8-10
· Baking soda – 1 tsp
Method:
· Take a mixing bowl add rava, curd and salt, mix well and let it rest for 25- 30 minutes.
· For tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter, add urad dal and green chillies, cashew nuts, curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
· Now add the tempering in the batter along with water, beat and mix well. Do not make the batter very thin, add water till the perfect consistency is formed for making the idlis.
· Add the baking soda to the batter just before steaming the idlis.
· Now start greasing the idli mould with oil, and pour the idli batter up to ¾th of the mould.
· Steam the idlis for 8-9 minutes.
· Demold them, once it is little bit cooled.
· Rava idli is ready to be served, serve this instant idli with freshly prepared chutney of your choice. I have served Idli podi too.
