CABBAGE PALYA

A quick, easy and delicious preparation of cabbage which is perfect to be paired with sambar and rasam rice. Most common at all homes but the preparation may slightly vary. Other preparations which are made using red chilli powder, coriander powder and other spices goes well with chapati or phulkas.💚

Ingredients:
· Coconut oil/ Oil – 2 tsp
· Mustard seeds – ¾ tsp
· Urad dal – 1 tsp
· Green chilies – 1-2 slit
· Curry leaves – 1 sprig
· Hing – 2 pinches
· Cabbage – 1 small
· Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
· Salt
· Grated coconut
· Coriander leaves
Method:
• Heat a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, green chillies, curry leaves and hing.
• Once the tempering splutters add the chopped cabbage, give a good mix.
• Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.
• Now open the lid add turmeric powder and salt.
• Let the water evaporate.
• Now add the freshly grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
• Your cabbage palya is ready to be served for lunch or dinner.
