A perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavours, this Honey Chilli Paneer is a quick Indo-Chinese appetizer that's crispy on the outside and coated in a glossy, flavour-packed sauce. Perfect for parties or as a delicious evening snack!
For this recipe, I used Tru Coco B Honey, which adds a natural sweetness and gives the sauce a beautiful glossy finish without overpowering the other flavours. Made with pure honey, it blends beautifully into the sauce, creating the perfect sweet-and-spicy balance in every bite.
Ingredients:
For the Paneer
·      Paneer – 200 gms diced
·      Cornflour – 1 tbsp
·      Black pepper powder – 2 pinches
·      Salt to taste
For the Sauce
·      Oil – 1 tbsp
·      Garlic – 5 cloves, finely chopped
·      Spring Onion – 2 tbsp
·      Capsicum – 1 medium, cubed
·      Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp
·      Red chilli sauce – 3/4 tbsp
·      Soy sauce – ¾ tsp
·      Schezwan sauce – 1.5 tsp
·      Vinegar – 1 tsp
·      Honey – 1 tbsp
·      Spring onion greens – 2 tbsp, chopped
·      White sesame seeds – 1 tsp
·      Salt to taste
Method:
·      Add cornflour, salt, black pepper powder to the diced Paneer. Coat the paneer cubes well and shallow fry until golden and crisp. Keep it aside.
·      Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
·      Add onions & capsicum. Stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes so the vegetables remain crunchy.
·      Add tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, soya sauce, Schezwan sauce, salt and crispy fried paneer cubes, toss gently
·      until every piece is well coated. Add Vinegar, mix well, turn off the flame.
·      Now comes the hero ingredient drizzle honey and give a good mix.
·      Garnish with spring onion greens and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
·      Tip: For the best flavour, drizzle a little extra honey just before serving to give the dish a beautiful glossy finish and a subtle sweetness. 🍯
